SML currently serves
more than one million members across the ten Indian states
of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka,
Maharashtra ,Madhya Pradesh,Uttar Pradesh,Rajastan,Bihar,Uttaranchal and Jharkhand (and has
demonstrated approximately 90% client growth in the past three
years). Presently, SML caters to the needs of poor rural
women through its 3,022-plus staff spread across
462 branches. It holds a total outstanding loan
portfolio of over USD 148 million.
